ALA Annual 2011: SLJ's Red Carpet Pixs from Newbery Caldecott Wilder Banquet
By SLJ Staff June 26, 2011p>It's our very own Oscar night. Each year hundreds of librarians, publishers, authors, and illustrators get decked out in their finest threads to attend the Newbery Caldecott Wilder Banquet during the American Library Association's annual conference.
Sunday night's celebration of the year's most distinguished books for children brought some of the biggest names to the red carpet in New Orleans.
