Featured people in the academic library world. Aug 19, 2010Justin Estoque has joined the Institute of Museum and Library Services as Chief Operating Officer. He comes from the Smithsonian Institution’s National Museum of the American Indian, where he was Director of the Executive Planning Office.
Anne Langley has been hired as Head Librarian, Science and Technology Libraries at Princeton University Library, NJ. She comes from Duke University, Durham, NC, where she was the Embedded Chemistry Librarian.
In Memoriam
Bob McKee, Chief Executive of CILIP, the UK’s Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals, died recently while attending the International Federation of Library Associations Congress in Gothenburg, Sweden. Nearly 60, he was to retire in October. Previously Chief Executive of The Library Association, he oversaw CILIP’s 2002 launch.
Paula J. Wolfe, a University of Arizona (UA) Associate Librarian, died July 28; she was 60. Wolfe, who joined the UA Libraries in 1999 as a Science and Engineering Librarian, served as liaison between the library and the College of Architecture and Landscape Architecture.
