Miami Book Fair—Celebrating Literary Culture The Miami Book Fair International (MBFI) is the annual literary festival in the United States with the strongest line-up of Spanish-speaking authors. Bolivian writer Manuel Vargas serves up an antidote for oblivion in Nocturno paceño ("Nights in La Paz"), a novel set during the seven years of Hugo Bánzer's dictatorship.
