When it comes to library cuts, the materials budget is the easiest to chop—and, perhaps, to restore. At the University of Wyoming, the administration supported the library's effort to qualify for membership in the Great Western Library Alliance. For now, however, the $4.3 million promised has been cut, and a 50% cut in the collections budget is making for a tough year.
