In this Issue

I recently had the pleasure of hanging out at the Main Library of the Portland PL (ME). While the incredible demand for Internet access did not surprise me, it still stung to see aisles of untouched books. This newsletter is about books, but moreover, literacy, and I believe librarians should encourage it beyond the usual displays. Video games could easily lead to graphic novels and web research to the titles in Bette-Lee Fox's annual Breast Cancer roundup.
