An E-Publisher Who Really Gets It

October 8, 2008

Just got this message from my contact at Alexander Street Press:

‘I wanted to let you know that you were the inspiration for a new campaign we've created, officially called "Alexander Street Sneak Peeks" - every time we have a new product launch or whenever we have some good news to tell about a particular collection, we send out emails titled Alexander Street's 48-hour Sneak Peek, which gives 48-hour "hassle and registration-free access." They've been pretty popular so far, and the idea was the result of your new strategy to give trials from your blog, so a big thank you! (And thank you, too, because we saw a very nice surge of traffic to the letter's and diaries collection when you ran the trial for North American Women's Letters and Diaries.)’

If you, dear reader, also like this easy trial strategy, I would love to hear that from you – anonymously, if you are shy; by e-mail if you don’t like to post to the blog. But do lemmehearfromyou. It spurs me on.

And look for a new Try It Here for Free! post on Alexander Street’s 7th release of the collection Social Theory Online VERY soon.

More as it happens, hassle-free,

Cheryl

Great way to work WITH the publisher. It's a win/win for everyone.
