Stephen Abram: Look Beyond Text
November 12, 2007
From a presentation, “Information 3.0—What’s Next?”, by SirsiDynix's Stephen Abram to the OCLC Members Council last month, according to an OCLC press release:
"If we know that people are pre-coded in their genetics to actually receive information in different ways, and we know that 20 percent of the population are effective text-based learners, are we ready to ignore the other 80 percent? Are we going to deal with the complexity of the human condition instead of complicated search strategies? And are we asking ourselves hard enough questions?"
