Request Limited Access to Sex Books, Increase Their Sales (to the Library)

January 16, 2009

A local resident has asked the Topeka and Shawnee County Public Library, KS, to limit access to four sex-related  books only to adults, according to the Capital Journal..

But here's the twist. The library system only has two copies of each of Sex for Busy People, The Lesbian Kama Sutra, The Joy of Sex, and The Joy of Gay Sex.

Before the library board's February 19 meeting, where residents can speak on the issue, one trustee asked library staff to buy enough copies of the books so each board member could become familiar with the contents before voting.

Hmm... I see an editorial cartoon in the offing.

Well, that will certainly make sure that there are enough of those books to make the rounds after they decide whether to keep it or not.
