Albert Comer is the new dean of the Cunningham Memorial Library at Indiana State University. Comer has served as acting dean since September 2007 She previously served as associate dean and head of the circulation department at the library. Comer has worked in a number of libraries, both academic and public, and has worked in a variety of locales such as Oklahoma and Germany. John Saylor will become the Associate University Librarian for Scholarly Resources and Special Collections. His appointment is effective Feb. 1, 2009. Saylor will be responsible for collection development, scholarly communications and special collections throughout the entire Cornell University Library system. This position acknowledges the growing importance of special collections in defining the Library’s holdings.
