Elizabeth Fowler is now Director, Libraries and Research Services, Chesapeake Public Library, VA. She previously was Director, Central Rappahannock Regional Library, Fredericksburg, VA.
Bella Karr Gerlich has been appointed University Librarian at Dominican University, River Forest, IL. Gerlich previously was Associate University Librarian and Associate Professor at Georgia College and State University, Milledgeville.
David Hanson has been promoted to System-Wide Services Manager at the Johnson County Library, Shawnee Mission, KS. He most recently was Specialty Reference Services Coordinator at the Central Resource Library.
Pat Leach has been appointed Director of Lincoln City Libraries, NE. She has served as Youth Services Supervisor since 1997. She succeeds Carol Connor, who retired in September after 30 years as Director.
Jennifer Mahnken has been promoted to Associate Director for Branch Services at the Johnson County Library, Shawnee Mission, KS. She most recently was Adult Programming Manager.
Judith Nichols has joined Brooklyn Public Library as the new Deputy Director of External Affairs. She most recently was CEO of her own strategic marketing firm and has more than 30 years of experience in fundraising and marketing.
Jerome Offord, now Manager, OCLC Corporate Inclusion, will “build and develop external relationships and strategies to attract diverse talent to OCLC.” He was Director of Diversity Initiatives, Association of Research Libraries.
Sue Riggs has been appointed Assistant Director of the Clermont County Public Library (CCPL), Batavia, OH. She had served as the Coordinator of Branch Services for CCPL and will continue those duties in her new position.
Anne Turner, Director, Santa Cruz City-County Library System, CA, for the past 25 years, will retire on December 30.
Ann Wilberton is the new Senior Librarian, Middletown Township Public Library, NJ. She most recently was Head of Instruction, Union County College, Cranford, NJ.
Stu Wilson, formerly VP of Operations, Friends of the Saint Paul Public Library, is now Executive Director of the new organization merging the Library Foundation of Hennepin County with the Friends of the Minneapolis Public Library.
