In addition to its 27 eBook Subject Sets (jeenej.notlong.com), OCLC now offers five eAudiobook Subject Sets (navoh.notlong.com) containing 122 frontlist NetLibrary titles available for one-time purchase or via ongoing access. The five subject sets include "Biographies & Memoirs" and "Fiction Bestsellers." Title lists can be downloaded in Excel; individual titles are sortable.
Hundreds of Penguin Group (www.penguin.com) ebook and audiobook titles are newly available to public libraries for downloading through digital media distributor OverDrive (www.overdrive.com). The frontlist and backlist works—which include Ken Follett's The Pillars of the Earth and Patricia Cornwell's Book of the Dead—will add to OverDrive's existing collection of 150,000 ebook, audiobook, music, and video titles and will be accessible to OverDrive libraries in Mobipocket PRC, Adobe PDF (ebooks), and WMA (audiobooks) formats. New Penguin Group titles will be added to OverDrive's catalog on a monthly basis.
Audio Holdings, LLC, which in June acquired the assets of Durkin-Hayes Publishing, is in the process of digitizing Durkin-Hayes's library of approximately 1000 audiobook recordings, which it will make newly available next year in the following formats: CD, Secure Digital Card, digital download, and Playaway® digital.
