WebJunction's 2.0 Redesign

By Josh Hadro -- Library Journal, 9/1/2008

WebJunction debuted its highly anticipated redesign on August 4 to great acclaim from the library social networking community. Described as a kind of “Facebook for librarians” and as a place “by and for” library staff, new elements on the site include a personalized My WebJunction page for keeping up with friends and colleagues, as well as streamlined mechanisms for content contribution and customization according to users' professional interests.

Chrystie Hill, director of community services at WebJunction, portrayed the redesign as a means to deliver “a new platform based on our collective needs, our combined interests, and what we've envisioned from the beginning as a powerful force for peer-to-peer sharing, resourcing, and learning.” For more info and to see the welcoming video primer on Webjunction 2.0, visit WebJunction.org.
