VTLS Adds Archives Management to Virtua

Focusing on the classification of nondigital collections, VTLS has added physical archival cataloging support to versions 48 and 49 of its Functional Requirements for Bibliographic Records (FRBR)–enabled Virtua ILS. The archives management toolset provides “a more general solution to hierarchical cataloging needs,” according to Vinod Chachra, CEO of VTLS Inc., and allows for item description according to levels outlined by the General International Standard Archival Description.
