Serials Solutions Adds Ebooks

Serials Solutions announced on June 6 the addition of 500,000 ebooks to its KnowledgeWorks repository of e-resources. The titles come from more than 20 providers and publishers and will be made available through the company’s 360 MARC Updates service to subscribing institutions in mid-July. These half-million ebooks expand the existing 1.5 million MARC authority records, 7000 databases, and 125,000 unique titles that already comprise KnowledgeWorks.
KnowledgeWorks is the back-end repository that powers all of Serials Solutions’ 360 services, providing “reliable metadata” created by the company’s staff of librarians.
