LJ Seeks Politician(s) of the Year

-- Library Journal, 6/15/2008

Is there a political figure making a difference in your library community? The editors of LJ want to know about them and what they've achieved for libraries in your area.

The 2007 winners were Delaware's Dream Team: Gov. Ruth Ann Minner, Secy. of State Harriet Smith Windsor, and Asst. Secy. of State Rick Geisenberger. The 2006 victor was Rep. Rick Boucher (D-VA). The 2005 honorees were Philadelphia City Councilors Frank DiCicco and Michael Nutter; the latter is now the city's mayor.

Please send Politician of the Year nominations, including a description of the politician's efforts on behalf of libraries, by July 14, 2008, to Ann Kim via email at akim@reedbusiness.com, by FAX at 646-746-6734, or by post to Library Journal, 360 Park Avenue South, New York, NY 10010.
