RefWorks Gets Upgrade

By Michael Rogers -- Library Journal, 6/1/2008

RefWorks has made several improvements to its recently launched RefAware online personal research assistant and its web-based research management and writing tool, also called RefWorks. The company said that RefAware now includes a new feature that provides the user with “meaningful information about the author(s) behind the publications in their retrieved results” via links to ProQuest's COS Scholar Universe, which lists 1.3 million active researchers.

The profiles include current affiliations, recent publications, and links to profiles of coauthors plus images where available. Users also can create custom source sets. RefWorks now featuresWrite-N-Cite III, a plug-in for single-document formatting that also allows for writing and formatting a paper completely offline.
