Keeping the Pressure on LCSH

-- Library Journal, 6/1/2008

A Library of Congress Subject Heading (LCSH) Blog-a-Thon sponsored by Radical Reference (radicalreference.info) generated 24 subject headings, six cross references, and two subdivisions, some suggested by legendary LCSH gadfly Sandy Berman. The contributors also concluded that LC isn't exactly making submissions easy, since it requires consultation with a library's technical services librarian. On the list:

  • Bollywood Films
  • Net Neutrality
  • Folksonomy
  • Organic Foods
  • Freeganism
  • Posthumanism
