A Tribute to Phyllis Whitney
By Kristin Ramsdell -- Library Journal, 4/15/2008
The publishing world lost a veteran best-selling author with the death of Phyllis A. Whitney on February 8 in Faber, VA, at the age of 104. For more than 50 years, Whitney thrilled readers with her Gothically laced tales of romantic suspense and, along with her contemporary Mary Stewart (living quietly in Scotland as of this writing), is credited with introducing millions of women to the joys of romantic mysteries.
