Library 2.0 Gang Kicks Off

-- Library Journal, 3/19/2008 2:40:00 PM

The first podcast in the new Library 2.0 Gang roundtable series went live March 19, riffing on topics explored at the Code4lib conference, including The Open Library—with the project's tech lead, Aaron Swartz as a guest—ILS APIs, and new cataloging influences. Each month, the Library Gang will focus on a technology topic at issue in the library world. Library Gang regulars, drawn from the world where libraries and the technologies that influence them meet, include librarians John Blyberg, Nicole Engard, and Char Booth (all three are Library Journal Movers & Shakers), along with Carl Grant and Rob Styles. The monthly series is hosted by Richard Wallis, tech evangelist at the UK's Talis, and produced by Talis in cooperation with Library Journal. Check libraryjournal.com/librarygang or the podcast module on the LJ homepage for new monthly podcasts; to suggest topics, guests, or even gang members, contact Wallis or LJ's Josh Hadro at librarygang@talis.com
