Laura Baldwin has joined the staff of the Anchorage Public Library, AK, as Collection Development Coordinator. Baldwin most recently was Principal Librarian of Collection Management at the Ocean County Library, Toms River, NJ.

Jack Berk has retired as Executive Director of the Bethlehem Area Public Library, PA. He held the position for 34 years. Berk is succeeded by Janet Fricker, who most recently was District Center Librarian, Bucks County Library System, Doylestown, PA.

Nancy Cummings has retired from her position as Director of Washoe County Library System (WCLS), Reno, NV. She previously served as the Director of the Yuma County Library District, AZ.

Bill Knot, longtime Director of the Jefferson County Public Library, Lakewood, CO, will retire on April 1, 2008, after 37 years at its helm.

Ilse Krick has been named Director of the Fairhope Public Library, AL. She has served as Interim Director since Betty Suddeth's retirement in summer 2007.

Bill Robinson, Associate Professor at the School of Information Sciences, University of Tennessee, Knoxville, will retire at the end of the spring term after 35 years of service.

Richard Salmons is the new Director, Jackson–Madison County Library, TN, a system run by Library Systems & Services, LLC (LSSI). He most recently was Head of the Reference Department at Oklahoma Baptist University, Shawnee.

Chris Sanford has been appointed Director of the Davis County Public Library System, Farmington, UT. He replaces Pete Giacoma, who retired after 17 years in the position. Sanford previously was Head Librarian of the system's North Branch.

Pat Seabron has retired from the Newport News Public Library System (NNPLS), VA, after 35 years of service. She most recently was Supervising Librarian at the Pearl Bailey Library of NNPLS.

Maureen Taffe retired December 31 from her position as Director of the Johnson Public Library, Hackensack, NJ, after 39 years of service. She was appointed director in 1986.

Patricia Wong has been named County Librarian of the Yolo County Library, Woodland, CA. Wong previously was Deputy Director of Library Services at the Stockton–San Joaquin County Public Library, CA.
