Innovative Interfaces in late December announced that Fairfield University, CT, “has selected the Encore discovery services platform and will implement it as a front-end to their Unicorn (SirsiDynix) library automation system.” Fairfield is the first Unicorn user to implement Encore.

In additional Innovative news, the vendor reports that Bill Easton has been promoted to senior director of Asia-Pacific Sales, moving over from his former territory of the U.S. Midwest region. He joined the company in 2006.
