San José SLIS Honors Plosker

San José State University's School of Library and Information Science (SLIS), CA, has named George Plosker, IEEE client services manager, one of its "40 most influential alumni." Plosker was included with 39 others as part of SLIS's 40th-anniversary celebration "Forty for Forty," commemorating the length of its American Library Association accreditation.
Plosker was one of a few industry executives to be honored among the two score winners, including librarians, authors, and educators, who have had a "profound impact in both the public and private sectors." Plosker joined IEEE in 2006 after working at Gale and Dialog, among other companies.
