InfoTech: San Jose State’s SLIS Names Plosker Top Alum

by Michael Rogers -- Library Journal, 12/11/2007 5:40:00 AM

San Jose State University’s School of Library and Information Science (SLIS) has named George Plosker, IEEE client services manager, one of its “40 most influential alumni.” Plosker was included with 39 others as part of the SLIS’s 40th anniversary celebration “Forty for Forty” commemorating the original date of its receiving ALA accreditation. Plosker was one of a few industry executives to be honored among the two score winners, including librarians, authors, and educators who’ve had a “profound impact in both the public and private sectors.” Plosker joined IEEE in 2006 after serving with Gale, Dialog, and others.
