SirsiDynix Names Hawkins COO

More change at SirsiDynix: the vendor July 31 announced the appointment of Matthew J. Hawkins as chief operating officer. He will be stationed primarily at the company's Provo, UT, office and will be responsible for its “client care implementation and Consulting & Education organizations,” the vendor said.
Although he has technology experience, Hawkins is another top ILS executive without a library-market background. He most recently was VP and general manager of Henry Schein Practice Solutions, a Utah-based provider of healthcare software, equipment, and value-added services. Prior to that he served as a strategy consultant for McKinsey & Co. in Dallas; as a project manager for Tenfold Corp., a software firm in Salt Lake City; and as a financial analyst for Electronic Data Systems in Chicago, Dallas, and Tokyo.
