Dougy Walden, 27, who earned his MLIS in May from the Rutgers University School of Communication Information and Library Studies, NJ, has had an unusual spring and summer, as he was cast in the third season of The Ultimate Road Trip reality show on the YES Network.

The show follows the adventures of six New York Yankees fans who live together in a Real World–style apartment in Manhattan, travel around the country following the team, and compete in group and individual challenges to win tickets to Yankee games. “I saw this as a way for me to enjoy a great summer of travel, to celebrate the completion of my MLIS, and to advocate for libraries and librarians,” Walden told LJ.
