SirsiDynix Signs San Diego

By Michael Rogers -- Library Journal, 7/15/2007

SirsiDynix has entered into a multiyear contract with the city of San Diego “to migrate the library system to Unicorn.” The vendor said that as part of the agreement, it will manage and host the system via its Software as a Service (SaaS) offering. San Diego also will implement the vendor's Enterprise Portal and Rooms solutions “to create a one-stop interface to its catalog, databases, digital archives, and other library resources and services.”

Awards finalists

SirsiDynix also has announced the 2007 Building Better Communities finalists. Of the 15 contenders, six will be selected by an international committee of independent library leaders to receive a prize of $10,000 apiece. The finalists include the Information Commons, Victoria, Australia; Jacksonville PL, FL; Kankakee PL, IL; Lincoln Trail Libraries System, Champaign, IL; and North Carolina State University Libraries, Raleigh.
