EBSCO Acquires Top ABC-CLIO Databases, To Distribute Others

EBSCO is branching out: the company June 15 announced that it had acquired ABC-CLIO’s top databases, Historical Abstracts and America: History and Life and will distribute eight additional premiere databases. “With this partnership, over 1.3 million citations and abstracts, over 600,000 full-text links, and hundreds of thousands of full-text journals will be at the fingertips od researchers around the world,” Ron Boehn, ABC-CLIO’s CEO said.

The other award-winning databases are: World History: The Modern Era; World History: Ancient and Medieval Eras; World Geography: Understanding a Changing World; American History, American Government; State Geography; Issues: Understanding Controversy and Society; United States at War: Understanding Conflict and Society; and History Reference Online.
