Surfing: Books

This is a no-nonsense classic guide for the beginning surfer by a noted surfer and teacher. There are no diagrams for learning technique, but the 150 photographs are excellent. Also includes chapters on boogie boards and body surfing.

Former Surfer magazine editor-in-chief Kampion's colorful salute to the history of surfing focuses on long biographical profiles of 11 greats of the sport, including recent stars Lisa Andersen and Kelly Slater.
