ALA Councilors Elected; Margolis, Swan Hill Leading Vote-Getters

Forty-one members have been elected to the American Library Association (ALA) Council, serving three-year terms, which begin at the end of the 2007 ALA Annual Conference in Washington, DC and extend through the end of the 2010 Annual Conference in Orlando, FL. The leading vote-getters were Bernard A. Margolis, Janet Swan Hill, Diane Chen, Sarah Flowers, Cristina Ramirez, and Lynn Strickland. Winning Councilors earned between 30.8% and 22.2% of the vote.
