Scopus Indexing Back Issues
ALA Midwinter offerings also include Index Islamicus

Scopus is greatly expanding its coverage through a string of strategic content deals with some heavy hitters in the publishing world (e.g., Springer and Nature Publishing Group) and leading societies (American Physical Society and American Institute of Physics). According to Scopus, the impetus to “add more abstracts dating back to Volume 1, Issue 1, at no extra charge, is based on feedback received through end user research programs and the Scopus Content Selection & Advisory Board.” Those two sources unanimously agreed that bibliographic information, including abstracts as opposed to back files containing only references, is preferable and will “significantly strengthen Scopus content, especially in subject areas where older materials are used more regularly.”
Scopus is specifically focusing on abstracts in physics, chemistry, and the social sciences, and all publishers working with Scopus have digitized the complete runs of their titles. The Scopus goal, ultimately, is to add a hefty seven million records from these publishers/societies as well as titles from parent Elsevier to its holdings.
