Polaris Adds Extra Tools

-- Library Journal, 2/12/2007

Along with racking up 51 library sales in 2006, Polaris also has added some new twists with more scheduled for the American Library Association conference in June. President and CEO Bill Schickling told LJ that Polaris has updated its authority control tool. The vendor also finished its reporting utility called Simply Reports and added faceted searching to its PAC. Polaris also has added a Books To Go feature that allows librarians to check with book jobbers for title availability, etc. before ordering. Along with its 51 ILS sales, the vendor said that "sales of complementary products including Polaris Inventory Manager and ExpressCheck grew by 50 percent."
