EBSCO Adds Full-Text Databases

By Michael Rogers -- Library Journal, 8/15/2006

EBSCO continues to beef up its full-text database offerings. At ALA, the vendor announced that it is now marketing a full-text version of MEDLINE, with 1200 journals, 1000 of which are available with cover-to-cover indexing, and a total of more than 1.4 million articles dating as far back as 1965, none of it embargoed. The company also has more full-text offerings in the works. By summer’s end, Computers & Applied Science Complete (indexing and abstracting for 1300 titles, more than 500 in full text), Education Research Complete (indexing and abstracting for 1500 journals, 750 in full text), and Environment Complete (1200 journals, 400 in full text, plus the full text for 80 monographs) all will be ready.
