Oops: PLDS Statistical Report Will Be Reprinted

-- Library Journal, 8/9/2006

If you've been reading the Public Library Data Service (PLDS) Statistical Report and found some numbers confusing, it's not you. The Public Library Association (PLA) sent a message last week explaining that "that the formatting of the 2006 PLDS Statistical Report is incorrect and has led to the misreporting of library data. While the numbers are correct, they are attributed to the wrong libraries, off by one library beginning on page 51." So PLA will correct the error, reprint the book, and send a corrected version to each person or institution that has purchased the incorrect version. Those who already received the 2006 version will automatically be sent a new copy. The reprinting process is expected to take about three weeks.
