AquaBrowser for Prince George’s
By Michael Rogers -- Library Journal, 7/15/2006
Prince George’s County Memorial Library System, Hyattsville, MD, is adding The Library Corporation’s (TLC) AquaBrowser visual search tool to its Geac Plus system. Prince George’s includes 18 community libraries, whose combined patrons generate more than three million circulations annually. Produced by MediaLab Solutions BV and distributed by TLC, AquaBrowser is a standalone product that interacts with any vendor’s ILS.
Additionally, the Pasco County Library System (PCLS), Hudson, FL, is upgrading from its current solution to TLC’s CARL.X. The contract also includes AquaBrowser, TLC Online Selection and Acquisitions, and Payment.Solution. PCLS director Linda Allen said that she was attracted to Carl.X’s “Google and Amazon-like formats,” adding that “almost anything we could dream up to ask for, TLC had already thought about…and was working on!”
