Horizon: Durham and Down Under

-- Library Journal, 6/26/2006

SirsiDynix has lured two more libraries—one foreign, one domestic—to step up to its Horizon system. On U.S. shores, the Durham County Library, NC, is upgrading to Horizon, along with Web Reporter, Debt Collect, and EnvisionWare PC/Print Management tools. Durham has been a user of Dynix's legacy system since 1988. Internationally, Queen's College at the University of Melbourne, Australia, is opting for Horizon's ASP version. The vendor's administrators will host the implementation and management of the system. Queen's College librarian Gale Watt said that the system's "functionality and ease of moving through the modules" was the deal clincher.
