LJ Seeks Politician of the Year Nominees

By Staff -- Library Journal, 4/15/2006

Is there a political figure making a difference in your library community? The editors of LJ want to know about them and what they've achieved for libraries in your area. Past winners include Philadelphia City Councilors Frank DiCicco and Michael Nutter (2005), Vermont Congressman Bernie Sanders (2003), and Pennsylvania Governor Tom Ridge (2001), and Houston Mayor Lee Brown (1999). Please send nominations, including a description of the politician's efforts on behalf of libraries, by July 17, to Rebecca Miller via e-mail at miller@reedbusiness.com; by post at: Library Journal, 360 Park Avenue South, New York, NY 10010; or by FAX at 646-746-6734.
