DRA Users Fund Free Speech

By Michael Rogers -- Library Journal, 4/15/2006

The Data Research Users' Group (the last holdouts still using DRA systems, which are owned by SirsiDynix) has promised donations of $15,000 apiece to the Electronic Frontier Foundation and the Freedom To Read Foundation to help those two bodies continue free speech efforts. The gift is a parting shot from the group, which is disbanding and merging with Unicorn Users Group International. An ecstatic Judith Krug, Freedom To Read's executive director, said that the gift “is one of the single largest donations FTRF has received in its 37 years. I cannot thank the members of the...group enough.”
