Though they weren't ready to exhibit at Midwinter, executives like Dan Arbour and Jeff Moyers from the newly formed National Archive Publishing Company (NAPC) were on hand. The company is now offering a Content Solutions service for libraries that includes a plethora of digital content–capturing services such as imaging (digitizing and microfilm), image conversions (film to digital/digital to film), metadata capture and creation, text conversion (optical character recognition and keyboarding), custom output formatting, film duplication and replacement, and archive hosting either in part or whole.
The company, which began in microfilm and emerged out of ProQuest Information & Learning, says it digitizes 50 million pages a year, giving it a high level of experience and expertise on all forms of electronic content.
