Libraries have had trouble with white supremacist groups reserving meeting rooms for their rallies. Now a member of one such group in Illinois has been charged with mangling five videotapes on Holocaust themes. According to the Chicago Tribune, Richard Mayers of Berwyn admitted vandalizing the tapes, including Anne Frank Remembered, from the Riverside Public Library, and leaving them for librarians to find because he believes the films are untruthful. He was charged with criminal damage but not a hate crime, because he did not threaten or assault anyone.
