SirsiDynix is continuing its assistance to libraries damaged by Hurricane Katrina. The vendor has joined the Maryland Library Association's (MLA) program of adopting a damaged Mississippi library and is donating hardware and software to outfit a bookmobile being presented to the library in Pearlington, MS, on December 19. The SirsiDynix gear will see that the bookmobile's tech offerings are in synch with the library's existing software. The vehicle itself was donated by the Allegany County PL, MD. Marion Francis, administrator at the Anne Arundel County PL (AACPL), Annapolis, who is chairing MLA's committee, said the program to assist these storm-swept libraries has been "a heartwarming labor of love" for all involved.
