Health Reference Center Upgraded

Facts On File revises structure and adds content

By Staff -- Library Journal, 4/15/2005

Facts On File has revamped the structure and content of its Health Reference Center product. Information is now divided into four areas: Conditions and Diseases; Mental Health; Health and Wellness; and Body Systems. Each area is fully searchable and sports an A–Z index. Additionally, 23 encyclopedias and other reference works ranging from the Encyclopedia of Alzheimer's Disease to Encyclopedia of Work-Related Illnesses, Injuries, and Health Issues have been added. The product also now includes special content features such as a clickable food pyramid of nutrition information, an HIV/AIDS time line, and a "Find a Medical Test" tool.
