Library of the Year Nominations Sought
By Staff -- Library Journal, 2/15/2005
The Library Journal/Gale Group Library of the Year Award honors the library that most profoundly demonstrates outstanding community service. Members of the editorial board of Library Journal, representatives from Gale's Executive Committee, and librarians from around the country will judge nominations based on three key factors: service to the community; creativity and innovation in developing specific community programs or a dramatic increase in library usage; and leadership in establishing programs that can serve as a model for other libraries.
The winning library will receive a $10,000 cash award, a feature story in the June 15, 2005 Library Journal, and a gala reception at the American Library Association Annual Conference in Chicago. Deadline for nominations is March 15. For further details, click here.
