TLC Puts Video Preview on OPACS
Streaming samples will help patrons borrow and librarians buy

The Library Corporation (TLC) is partnering with Video Pipeline, Inc. to provide streaming video to Library.Solution and CARL.Solution users. Through the partnership, libraries will be able to include streaming video previews to VHS/DVD titles listed in the OPAC. Patrons debating whether to borrow a video/DVD title from the library's collection can simply preview the title before checking it out. Acquisitions librarians also can use the service to help decide what titles are appropriate for purchase.
