Paula K. Alston has been selected as Assistant Director of Libraries and Research Services, Chesapeake Public Library System, VA. She has been with the library since 1990.

Jennifer Barager has joined the Libraries/Academic Information Systems (AcIS) Development Team, Columbia University Libraries, New York. Terry Catapano is now the Special Collections Analyst/Librarian of the Digital Program Division at Columbia. He was Electronic Texts Manager, New York Public Library. Tamar Evangelista-Dougherty has been appointed Project Archivist for the David Dinkins Papers, Columbia's Rare Book and Manuscript Library.

Carson Block has resigned as Technology Consultant, High Plains Regional Library Service Systems, Greeley, CO, to assume the position of Director of Information Technology, Arapahoe Library District, Denver.

Tscernich Boshikaya is now Community Librarian, Tripler Army Medical Center Library, Honolulu. She was Slavic Bibliographer, Sgt. Rodney Library, Schofield Barracks, Wahiawa, HI.

Nicole Cooke has been appointed Reference Librarian in charge of evening services, Montclair State University Library, Upper Montclair, NJ. She was Reference Librarian, University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, Newark campus.

Catherine Fraser is now Director of Development, Earl Gregg Swem Library, College of William and Mary, Williamsburg, VA. She was Director of Major Gifts and the Annual Fund, Centenary College, Shreveport, LA.

Kelly Krieg-Sigman is the new Public Library Director, City of La Crosse, WI, replacing Tom Strange. Krieg-Sigman was Public Library Director, Fremont Public Library, Mundelein, IL.

Jonathan LeBreton has been appointed Head of Administrative Services, Temple University Libraries, Philadelphia, succeeding Ivy Bayard. LeBreton was formerly Associate Director, Albin O. Kuhn Library and Gallery at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County.

Barbara R. Maxwell has been named State Librarian, Indiana State Library, Indianapolis. Maxwell previously served as Library Director at USA Today.

Mary Rodne has resigned as Director, Bloomingdale Public Library, IL, to oversee the startup of a library in Colleyville, TX.

Obituaries

Louis Shub, formerly Director of the Jack and Bel Ostrow Library for the University of Judaism, Los Angeles, died in March at the age of 89. Shub was with the library from 1954 to 1987.
