Ann Baker has retired from the Wiliamsburg Regional Library, VA, after 21 years of service. Her most recent position was Youth Services Cataloguer.

Randolph Bias has been appointed Associate Professor, School of Information (formerly School of Library and Information Science), University of Texas at Austin. He has over 20 years' experience as a Usability Engineer.

Ruth Collins has been appointed to a three-year term as Deputy Director, Buffalo & Erie County Public Library, NY. She joined the library 30 years ago as a librarian trainee and was most recently Assistant Director for Public Services.

Blaise Cronin has announced his decision to resign as Dean, School of Library and Information Science (SLIS), Indiana University, Bloomington, effective June 30. He has been serving as dean since 1991 and is a longtime columnist for Library Journal's "The Dean's List." In 2000, the SLIS faculty were rated Number 1 in North America for their scholarly productivity and impact.

Rodrigo Diaz, Senior Librarian and Youth Specialist, Ruskin Branch Library, Tampa-Hillsborough County Public Library System, FL, has received Hillsborough County's 2002 Hispanic Man of the Year Award. Diaz is credited for coordinating many outreach activities promoting library access for Spanish speakers.

James Godsey is now the new Executive Director, Traverse des Sioux Library System, Mankato, MN, succeeding John Christenson, who retired in October 2002 after 27 years in the position. Godsey had been Director, Council Bluffs Public Library, IA, from 1996 to 2002.

Gretchen Herman was appointed Vice President, Automation Division & CRS, Inc., Brodart Company, Williamsport, PA. She had been General Manager for the Automation Division since 2000.

Christopher V. Hoolister has been appointed Senior Assistant Librarian, Arts and Sciences Libraries, University of Buffalo, NY. Formerly, Hoolister served in various library positions at D'Youville College, Buffalo.

Edie Rasmussen has accepted the position of Director, School of Library, Archival and Information Studies, University of British Columbia, Vancouver, effective July 1. Rasmussen currently holds the position of Professor, School of Information Science, at the University of Pittsburgh.

Jacqueline Sligh has been named Manager, Northeast Regional Branch, Richland County Public Library, Columbia, SC. She was Manager, Sandhills Branch, Richland County Public Library, from 1997 to 2002. Caroline Hipp has replaced Sligh as Manager at the Sandhills Branch. Hipp has been serving at Richland County Public Library since 1993.
