The Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS), VA, has installed the Sirsi Corporation's UnicornEcole library management system throughout its libraries. A large contract, the FCPS includes 238 facilities, including elementary, middle, and high schools; special education centers; and alternative schools and programs, such as community cable channels, ESL instruction, and career planning and development. The school system claims that 92 percent of its students attend college. Even the youngest of today's students are technologically savvy, and according to Alan Brody, FCPS coordinator of information technology applications support, "students are learning how to use Ecole and the iBistro Electronic Library portal very quickly."
