Industry News: Atlanta-Fulton Selects Brodart

Compleat Book Serv to be primary book supplier throughout 2002

By Michael Rogers -- Library Journal, 6/15/2002

The Atlanta-Fulton Public Library System has entered into a $1.2 million contract for Brodart's Compleat Book Serv, to be its primary book supplier through the end of 2002, with renewal options. According to Brodart, "The library will have books cataloged and processed according to [its] specifications, Compleat Book Serv will load records to the library's CARL system, and shelf-ready books will be drop-shipped to each ordering agency." As part of the contract, the library also will have access to Brodart's online site Bibz.com, for selecting and ordering books and "a variety of collection development resources," including TIPS (Title Information Preview Service).
