Brodart Upgrades Precision One

Cataloging system available online and now in hard-drive version

By Michael Rogers -- Library Journal, 5/1/2002

Brodart Automation is releasing a new version of its Precision One Cataloging System. According to the company, the new release includes enhancements "to the card and label printing capabilities, as well as the online help feature." Specifically, Precision One is now able to print multiple labels and cards, instead of just singly as in the past, and the system now can print from a variety of different sheet formats (types and sizes of labels, etc.). The online help has been simplified.

Additionally, the company is marketing a hard-drive version of this system that library's can host on PCs by downloading the software from a CD-ROM. The online version is updated monthly; customers opting for the hard drive– based system can have monthly updates or can choose to update every six months or annually. Both versions can be used as a standalone or can be networked.
