Installations- B&ECPLS Adds Brodart System
NY-based library subscribes to DartClix to add URLs on OPAC

The Buffalo and Erie County Public Library System, NY (B&ECPLS) has contracted with Brodart Automation for the installation of the company's DartClix software to enhance its online catalog. Released in late 2000, DartClix is Brodart's subscription service for cataloged web sites in MARC format, which may be directly imported into the customers bibliographic files. Patrons can click on the URL in the record to be transported directly to the site. Subscribers receive a backlist of several thousand professionally selected sites, with the promise of 500 new sites added monthly. B&ECPLS enjoys a circulation of approximately 8.3 million while serving a population of nearly 968,000.
