SPARC Grows Overseas

Staff -- Library Journal, 3/1/1999

The Council of Australian University Librarians (CAUL), which represents all Australian university libraries, is the most recent international group to join the Scholarly Publishing & Academic Resources Coalition (SPARC). "The impact of journal price trends is often more devastating for libraries outside the US," said SPARC Director Rick Johnson. "Many of SPARC's partnership arrangements are with overseas societies, and CAUL will be instrumental in spreading the word." SPARC's membership has doubled since its launch seven months ago.
